ESTEVAN, SK – The Estevan Bears, in partnership with a dedicated local committee, are proud to announce their intention to submit a formal bid to host the 2026 Telus Cup Western Regionals.
Since their establishment, the Estevan Bears have remained committed to the development of young athletes both on and off the ice. Backed by strong community support and a state-of-the-art facility, the Bears organization is ready to bring this prestigious event to Southeast Saskatchewan.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to showcase our city, our program, and the hospitality of our community,” said Blake Jamieson, spokesperson for the bid committee. “We believe Estevan is more than capable of delivering a first-class experience for players, families, and fans.”
The proposed event will be supported by numerous local volunteers, sponsors, and organizations, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all involved.
The bid will be officially submitted to the SMAAAHL and SHA in the coming weeks.
